This award is presented in memory of Mr. Ken Poyner, a long time Sponsoring Committee member, supporter and friend of the Squadron.Awarded to a cadet who is a Sergeant or above and who is the model cadet of 856 Squadron. Loyalty, dedication, level of performance, standards, work ethics, problem-solving skills, task completion, motivational skills, dependability, provides guidance and directions to peers and subordinates, etc. are some of the deciding factors before submitting the name of a potential candidate.
